Introducing Tena: An Abstract Artist Breathing Life into NFT Characters 

Welcome to the colorful world of Tena, an abstract artist whose high saturated color palettes and unique expression bring NFT characters to life. While a full time student at Central Michigan University she is getting her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Painting as well as selling her digital and IRL works of art.

 

“My favorite thing in the world is color and paint. All I want to do is squeeze paint from the tube to touch, play, feel, and look at it. I start with a song or a movie that I put on. I then source color from my interpretations of sound for the painting. Patterns begin to form with each note I become, each character I embody. When channeling these VeeFriends inspired characters I will continue to use my emotions just as I did as an actress to become the painting.”

​At the heart of Tena's portfolio is the 365 Portraits of Gary project. For an entire year, she embarked on a journey, taking a daily screenshot of Gary Vaynerchuk and then doing a digital drawing of it. This ambitious project not only shows off her technical skill but also her dedication and love for the VeeFriends community. The result is a stunning collection that captures the essence of Gary in various moods, styles, and interpretations.

The Bubbly Buzzard holds a special place in Tena’s heart. Inspired by childhood memories with her father at AstroWorld Theme Park, this character symbolizes resilience, confidence, and a bubbly smile that finds joy in everything.
